Florida Foundations of Computer Science, Kindergarten

Course Description

In this course, kindergarten students take their first steps with computers and technology. They connect their five senses to the way they use devices, learn the parts of a computer, care for devices safely, and recognize common icons on the screen. Through unplugged activities and ScratchJr, students build step-by-step plans, put instructions in order, and make simple repeating patterns. They also sort and display data with pictures and tally marks and learn age-appropriate rules for screen time, passwords, and keeping personal information private.

Course Learning Goals
