Ellipsis Education was founded to remove barriers to computer science teaching and ensure every student has access to meaningful, high-quality computer science learning. As technology continues to shape how we live and work, computer science has moved beyond a “nice to have” in K–12 education. It is now a critical pathway for building technological literacy and preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
Yet in many schools, computer science remains episodic and limited in scope. Short-term programs and surface-level experiences often fall short of supporting deep learning or real-world application. To truly serve students, computer science must be treated as a formal discipline—intentionally taught, aligned to standards and policy, and accessible to all learners.
Through years of working alongside schools, we have seen how complex this work can be. Differences in state policy, teacher preparation, instructional materials, and implementation models mean there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Meeting this moment requires flexible solutions, thoughtful design, and strong partnerships.
That belief led us to Qubits Learning. Founded in response to the global disruption of 2020, Qubits shares our commitment to expanding access to high-quality computer science education. In 2025, Ellipsis and Qubits partnered to combine Ellipsis’ deep U.S. classroom expertise with Qubits’ technology platform and global reach—allowing us to build a more complete, future-ready computer science solution.
Ellipsis Education remains the primary brand through which we serve districts and states where our instructional materials have been formally reviewed and approved. Ellipsis courses are state approved in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Mississippi—reflecting our long-standing focus on instructional quality, standards alignment, and teacher-led implementation.
Through our partnership with Qubits Learning, we are able to extend that strong foundation even further. Qubits expands our course catalog, platform capabilities, and resource library—allowing us to design flexible, customized solutions that meet districts where they are. Together, Ellipsis and Qubits offer schools the confidence of state-approved instructional materials paired with the depth, scalability, and adaptability needed to support evolving computer science goals.
In partnership with Cengage School, we are further expanding access to these solutions—bringing trusted content, strong implementation support, and broader reach to schools and districts across the country and beyond.
